Well, in just a few short hours we will be heading off to Seoul, Korea. It still seems a bit surreal. I think when we are on the plane (eating Korean food) it will all start to solidify in our minds.
My father was born in Korea so we are very excited to be taking a journey there to experience my Korean heritage and to bring home our 3rd precious son to his forever home! We will get to meet my Aunt (my father's youngest sister) , whom I've never met, and we will also have the fun and blessing of spending time with a dear friend who moved to Korea several years ago. She is Korean and will thankfully guide us and help us along the way. The crazy thing? She lives on the SAME block as the place we are staying! God is pretty cool!
If you want to follow our journey, literally, go to http://www.flightstats.com/. Our flight info is as follows:
Depart DFW 9:20am 1/15/09 Korean Air Flight # 32
Arrive Seoul Incheon 3:05pm 1/16/09
Depart Seoul Incheon 9:50am 1/20/09 Korean Air Flight #31
Arrive DFW 7:05am 1/20/09 (we get to repeat 2 hrs!)
If anyone wants to meet Gannon at the airport for his official homecoming, please come! We'd love to see you. Our mom's will be there, along with our boys, and our dear friend who has volunteered to bring them all! If you come, please take lots of pics and send them to us (video footage would be great too!!).
Well, I'm heading off to bed - have to get up in just a few hours!
Please pray for safety for us, peace for us and the boys as we are separated, and for the transition that will take place when we are all back together again!! We can't wait to all be under the same roof!
God has been so good and faithful and I know he will protect us all!
“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro through out the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him”
2 Chronicles 16:9.
I love this verse - God is Everywhere and All-Powerful! He's so capable! Why do I worry??
Blessings to you all and thank you so much for your support. Stay tuned - the next post will be from Seoul!
For His Glory, Mel
